Surgical model

A selective bronchial intubation can be done in this model. It also has a structure that simulates a diaphragm. You can perform both laparoscopy and thoracoscopy.
The organs of a pig are placed within the model.
The model is intubated with an “orotracheal” tube

this is so cool. it’s the closest one could get to the real thing… very innovatve and helpful to students…
Fascinating. Our attendings have been telling us that models like these will become a reality for training but we’ve been skeptical. I wonder how long it will take before they become a regular part of surgical training for interns and junior residents…
